When Jonathan Heming joined HBI, his first key assignment was to establish a branch in China — an essential market in the glycerine industry. After many encounters (and some memorable culinary experiences!), he had the great fortune to meet my current partner, Fred Wang. What started as a joint venture soon grew into a fully-fledged subsidiary. Over the past 20 years, HBI China has continued to thrive and expand, becoming a key pillar of our global operations and a preferred avenue for many in the industry to export their by-product.
